For this show you will hear an unedited recording of the message I delivered to the congregation of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church from Isaiah 53. I hope you find it helpful. A summary outline is below:
The atonement is desperately needed because we are a sinful people.
The atonement came at a great price because it required the shedding of innocent blood.
The atonement was perfect because Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.
The atonement was done out of God’s love for His people voluntarily.
The atonement is substitutional, Jesus in our place.
The atonement is limited: only those who believe benefit from it.
The atonement is satisfying: It satisfied the demands of God and so it satisfies us and gives us hope of life.
This episode is an unedited recording of the message that I preached this last Sunday on Father's day to the congregation of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. The text for the message is Matthew 7:7-12. Note that because it is unedited there is no intro segment. This passage helps us to understand the relationship believers have with God and how that is played out in prayer. Hopeful you find it helpful in building a Biblical worldview. The outline is below:
How are we to pray to our Heavenly Father?
Persistently 7
Expectantly 8-10
We can pray expectently to our Heavenly Father because it is natural for a Father to give to a son what he desires that is good 9-10
We can pray expectently to our Heavenly Father because our Heavenly Father is far superior to an earthy father 11
In recognition of Father's day and in honor of my Dad this is a special episode. It is shorter than normal and the quality is not up to par, but in this show I describe 7 qualities of my dad that have been an inspiration to me and for which I am grateful. What kind of legacy are you passing on to your children?
This past weekend I was able to attend the Home Educators Association of Virginia (HEAV) conference with some of my kids. The HEAV is one of, if not the best homeschool conference in the country. This is a short review on the conference and he speakers I was able to hear. You can acquire an mp3 of all the conference speakers and I recommend doing so. Also, be sure you become a part of the HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association)

This is a continuation of the series of the Essential 100 Bible passages from which I have been preaching. Thus this is a message of the mos recent sermon I delivered to the people of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church the church in which I currently pastor. I hope you find it helpful in building your world view so that you can build your legacy. The themes that are found in Proverbs 17-19 is below:
